Equalizer WDH

What is best way to move 500# from rear axle of pickup to the front axle of pickup? I have an Equalizer hitch with 1000# bars.

The best way is to have the hitch set up properly. You Tube is your friend.
Or Equalizer website has instructions also.

Hitch was setup by dealer a few months ago, after several weight checks at the scales, I need 500# shifted to front truck axle, just wonder if there was an easy way to do it , vs totally disassembling the system and moving the brackets up or down?

Dealers from my experience at best set them up roughly within ball park. As Gooma said, go through the instructions really well and verify measurements, and where things are currently set up. And YouTube is beneficial on help also. If the brackets are set at the correct height, as well as hitch height, then you'll need to check the angle of the hitch head.

I am not that familiar with the Equalizer, but it looks like you would just raise the bracket to a higher hole, yeah?

the only time you need to move the hitch up or down is if the trailer is not sitting level behind the tow veh. You tilt the head to get the proper tension on your bars and adjust a screw or add washers behind the head. You need a good torque wrench as the torque on the bolts holding the head are about 300flbs. Take it back to your dealer and have them adjust it until it is right, dealer should adjust it for free since they should have accounted for the weight of gear and made some adjustment's for that. If you have a bar with chains have you tryed to move up one link?

I should have been more clear. I meant the bracket for the torsion bar, not the ball mount. Raising the torsion bar will increase the force of the bar and the leverage on the receiver to put more weight on the TV front wheels.

This is the same as raising the bars by a chain link, but on the Equalizer it appears there aren't chains, but adjustable brackets, instead.
