F250 tire recommendations

I have a 2011 f250 6.2 gas was wondering what others are using for tires. Bought mine with masimo open range a/t tires 295 70 r15 and iam constantly using 4 wheel drive just to go up the slightest incline on snow backed roads it seams is always getting stuck it is getting stuck in just 6 inch of snow. I do not tow alot but when i do for camping its about 10,000 lbs and suggestions

I would buy Michelin LTX M/S2. I had the LTX tires on a Honda Ridgeline and thought they were very good tires.

Maybe your needs are more a mud and snow tire. Be sure your new tire has a stiff enough sidewall to support a 3/4-ton load. DR

Put sand bags behind each wheel well, no empty truck does well
In the snow.

Are you sure on that tire size? I haven't seen an OEM 15" on any pickup in 20+ years. A/T M+S tires mean nothing with cheap rubber compounds. Massimo sounds like a house brand tire to me.

I use Nokian Rotiiva A/T tires that are snow rated. Probably the best compromise for snow and summer use for me.

Must have fat-fingered the tire size. Can't fit even a 16" rim over the new brake calipers, much less a 15", even on a half ton. Why trucks now use 17" rims and larger - to fit over the brakes.

No big deal if you need 4 wheel drive in the snow. That's what it's for. As far as getting stuck in 6" of snow, it depends on the snow. Eskimos have bunches of names for different types of snow, it's not all the same. If it's an occasional problem, get a set of cable chains. If you run lots of snow get a set of heavy V-bar cross link chains. Or better yet, 2 sets. Learn how to put them on in a nice warm driveway. I always packed two sets and ran studded winter snows on steel wheels. Still needed the tow rope on occasion.

I run the Goodyear Duratraks on my fleet trucks.

As a blanket statement , most snow tires are very soft rubber and will not last long on a tow vehicle while towing ( all the extra power on the rear tires tears them up). Michelin just came out with the Agilis , its snow rated but not super aggressive. I just got a set for the front of my truck, so far they have great traction .

Nothing wrong with using 4WD, that's why it's there.

I echo the comments above regarding the use of M/S or A/T tires for frequent towing applications. They will have a shorter life with more towing.

I've gone thru 2 sets of Michelin LTX A/T2 combined 74K on the 1st set, and 70k on the 2nd set.

1/3 of the miles were towing a 16K 5er.
I did rotate every 7k miles, and aired down when not towing.
If they were still available, I'd get another set of the A/T's
