F350 waiting period

I’ve had an F350 Lariat on order since the end of December and it still does not have a schedule build date. I expected a long wait but I was wondering about the folks that are now receiving their 350s how long did you have to wait to receive it? I should add that I order the 7.3L gas engine and fifth wheel prep.

Any insight would be appreciated as I’m trying to make some summer plans.

The only insite I have is none of my local Ram, Chevy and Ford have very many trucks on their lots. Ram had zero yesterday when I drove by an looked. Ford has a few used trucks. In 2017 they had over 100 new trucks.

F350 Lariat LB SRW CC 6.7 5th wheel package, ordered in Sept. just showed up at the dealer. Might want to ask your dealership there are certain items that will hold up the order, as soon as I choose to delete one item and really the only thing I was willing to delete( spray in bedliner) it went to build within a week. Just my experience anyway.

Good luck!

I read spray in bed liners hold up the build.
I purchased an in stock truck but in December I separately ordered the 5th wheel prep from the dealer website and it did not ship or they had no dates on the part for 2-3 months.
I finally canceled it and ordered the BW turnover ball hitch package and had that installed.
My Son just ordered a pretty simple Lariat with sunroof a couple weeks ago and just got an build date of May 9, it was actually too soon and caught us off guard, he just purchased a beater truck to work with for a few months to wait out the build.
No Bedliner or 5 th wheel prep

Son-in-law ordered a SRW F350 diesel, XLT trim and he got it in 3 months. They told him to not order a high-level trim, no bed liner and nor hitch pucks. They added hitch rails and bed liner once it hit the dealer in a few days. So he has been able to enjoy the truck.

Took 7 months for me to get my 2022 F350 Lariat SRW.
Ordered June 25, 2021. Finally got the keys on January 13, 2022.

In that time I got VIN in about a month. But, production date changed 7 times, delivery date changed 3 times, and after it got from St Louis to Baldwin, FL CSX lot they lost it for a month!
I’ve had it for 3 1/2 months now and OMG was it ever worth the wait.

Hang in there…good things come to those who wait.

Almost the same truck as an F350, my F250 took 4 months from order to delivery. The dealer offered that the XLT trim level was the reason short wait time. I was surprised and delighted!...

Thank you for the replies. I opted to have the spray in liner done at the dealership. The dealership did warn me the factory fifth wheel prep was going to hold up the build. They offered an aftermarket fifth wheel prep but it was about $900 more IIRC, than the factory prep but would speed up delivery. I decided to stick with factory prep but now I’m wondering if I should change to aftermarket prep. Any feedback on that?

Seems also the 7.3 Godzilla engine is the big seller this year, so.

I ordered my F350 DRW Lariat with 6.7L Diesel in August 2021. Picked up in February, almost exactly 6 months from when I ordered.
Before mine was in production, I was seeing posts about the 5th wheel prep being a possible delay but decided not to delete it. I figured since I was planning on towing a 5er I wanted to have that done at the factory.

I originally had ordered the factory spray-in bedliner but took that off my order. Dealer tried to convince me to have it done there but I opted to get it at LineX.

Good luck.

Don't let me lower your expectations because most don't take this long, but some have, and some took even longer. I ordered April 2021 and received in March 10th 2022, so 11 months.

F350 DRW 7.3/4.30, 5th wheel prep, Lariat Ultimate package. I went with LineX bed liner once it arrived at dealer. Really liking the truck. Drives smooth and straight and is super quiet inside. The Lariat seats are much more comfortable than the 2016 XLT seats I had. The power seems to be there as well, but I haven't hooked up the 14k toy hauler yet.

The dealer I bought my 350 from just sent me a letter wanting to buy it back. The price they want to pay is 58k. I only paid 44k for it 3 years ago in 2019. If I knew I could order a new one and have it show up some time this decade I would do it, but I have my doubts about finding a timely replacement.
