First pull with new to me F-350

I pulled my best friend's 43 foot fifth wheel off of NC's Outer Banks yesterday, it was the first pull with the 2015 truck. I was pulling with a 1997 7.3 F-350 before this and all I can say is holy crap, this thing is unbelievable.

Can someone please tell me why the picture is posting sideways?

My pictures often do the same thing. Don't know why.

You are right with the 2015 truck...holy crap what a great towing machine. I am just curious what is your cargo capacity on that beast. On my 2012 dually it was 4,470lbs.

And FYI - I am in the hurricane rain now. The good news is the wind is not very strong in Palm Coast Florida (between Daytona Beach and St. Augustine). Lots of rain...and a little bit of wind.

And now you can help other 5th wheel owners move their 5th wheel. I helped two 5th wheels move when I had my dually.

Glad it went well. I have a 2016 and love it. My trucks payload is 5604 lbs.

Wow - 5,604 is a good payload and enough to use a truck camper.

After watching the “Mortons on the Move” “Go North” series on You Tube I’m thinking a truck camper might be fun someday. For now I’ll stick to the 5er.

One of the listed options was the 14000 lb GVWR package and if I'm reading Ford's spec sheet correctly the max payload is 7080 lbs.

Yeah that number is useless. Go look at the sticker on your door frame. It will be significantly less.

The door sticker states GVWR of 14k,
front GVWR of 5250, rear is 9650
Then tire loading sticker states no more than
5886 total so I'm assuming that's the actual payload?

You got it. Still pretty good. Many have gotten misled by those Ford specs online....

Great truck. Massive power and the rear springs are what real trucks have. If you’re looking for a great ride get a Puegeot.

Hope you can wipe that smile off your face when you drive your truck. Other people will not understand the reason you are smiling. Are you getting used to to power and how quiet it is yet?

GM trucks were last redesigned in 2011. I am watching YouTube of reviewers test driving the 2020 2500/3500 trucks. They all say how quiet and solid the truck feels.
