Smile First tow with new truck

Boy is this 6.4 sweet. Hooked up the trailer after getting truck back from having 5er hitch installed. I only took it for a short tow to check out how it tows and to set up the brakes to the new controller Ford has. No more locking up at near stop. smooth all the way to the stop. There is a difference from the old hand shaker and the automatic though. I was going to shift a few time but no shifter. I must get used to that. Hope this truck is as good as my 7.3 was.

Truck is white again. The trike was not in the trailer but it was just a short test run anyway. Oh yes I did get your e mail just didn't get to reply. The tow haul is really nice along with the brake controller.

We just got back from the rally last week (took the long way). The exhaust filter regen was doing its thing every 100 miles or less, sometimes in as little as 60 miles. Dealer just shrugs his shoulders and says there's no reflashes available. I'll be curious to know how often yours will display "cleaning exhaust filter". Should note that these regens all occurred while towing, which is what this truck does 90% of the time. Great truck. Mileage is improving, getting almost 9 mpg while towing.

Regen every hundred miles Cant imagine that.
Get that silly issue under control and your fuel economy should go up. Heck my Dodge does not regen when working hard and I can pull all day and get 10+ and I thought that was not too good. I would get that thing to a read diesel mechanic and insist that they fix it.
