For all those over loading the tow vehicle and think it is fine

Here is what happens when people ignore tow ratings and think "it pulls just fine". This link was shared on another part of this forum. I personally witnessed a similar incident with a Jeep Cherokee and a trailer. The driver and his girlfriend were taken away in ambulances.

Ok, that's fair. Either way, a bad day for these folks.

what I see- the driver did everything wrong, you can do wrong- and even though- the worst part: I truly believe it's lack of experience in towing. That's why they supply training courses. take it or leave it. I truly believe- if the driver would have known, what to do, he would had cached it. I doubt that he did- for me more a situation: I don't care what other say- towing can't be so hard- I know, what I'm doing.
For sure it was not the trailer weight or the tow vehicle- because as far as I've seen, the tow vehicle was not a small SUV- more a fullsize SUV, which is comparable to a half ton truck. the camper was also not too big- it was a 08/15 standard trailer- Yep- I put this into the category lack of experience.
And I looked at it very hard- nobody can say if there was a WDH or sway bar involved or not or if the vehicle was overloaded or not. nobody can even see, if the set up was right or not or what ever. with other words- the title of this thread is BS.

As you see- this specific trailer has the wheels very centered, which actually helps for the weight balance of the trailer, but takes also weight off the tongue.
Regardless- he was too fast and did not know, what to do, as it started, to stop it. simple as that. Or he simply just fell asleep. Or was on his cell phone. or he bit the steering wheel because his wife was not quit bitching beside him. or he wanted to grab a drink from behind the seat. or the cigarette fell between his legs. or.......... - you see, where I'm getting?

Yeah anything that gets the rv moving independently of the TV and one is off to the circus.
