Gen Y Boss Torsion hitch

Just wondering if there are any new users of it since the last time there was a thread. The idea seems good to me. Now that I have an F350 I don't think I need my Equalizer WDH. I could be wrong but I doubt it. My ORV might go 8500 pounds occasionally but it's usually around 8000 so just a hair over the truck. The tongue weight is a hair over 1000 which means I would be just over the Gen Y 10K model's recommended tongue weight but at the low end of their 16K which tells me the ride cushioning would not be as good. Story of my life.

I use the Gen y that is rater for tongue weight up to 1100 lbs. I have an F250 and pull a 25' Airstream ( about 6800 lb ) so don't need wdh. I really like this hitch as it works as advertised.

Thanks, Captain! My problem is I'm just over the 10K model's upper limit. I guess it will be better to have the 16K but I expect it won't cushion as well if my trailer is barely over its lower limit.

Nobody else?

I was looking at the GenY torsion hitch, but also read and saw on video that if you don't have a heavy enough trailer to make the rubber bushings or whatever they are in the hitch work, it really didn't do what it was intended to do. I also read that they do wear out after some time, and become sloppy. That's a lot of coin for this hitch.
That was when I decided to stick with their regular drop hitch and weight distribution shank to accommodate a Blue Ox WDH..

Well, everything wears out eventually. If it works half as well as they say it does then I figure it's worth it, especially given the criminally poor roads here in Commiefornia. They seem to have good customer service and, FWIW, they offer a lifetime warranty for only $50. That tells me they are pretty confident about their product.

I can definitely vouch that they have great customer service at no fault of their own. It was UPS that screwed up twice and GenY took care of me.
