How Much Truck Do I Need?

I’m thinking of buying one of these with slide-out, LiFePo4, and rooftop solar options for weekend camping trips with the grandkids. This is the high GVWR model, but with a modest dry tongue weight. But, with just a mid-size, I’m concerned I may not have enough truck. Plus, I may want to trade up to a bigger model as the grandkids get older. Can I tow this with a 3/4 ton gasser, or do I need something bigger like a diesel 1 ton DRW to be on the safe side? So many threads claim bigger truck is better.

Do you think that trailer will support a bike rack on the rear bumper?

My wife would say no bathroom, no purchase.

You will definitely need a class 8 tractor with a heavy-duty sway control system.

This truck has the trailer tow rating for it... but not sure you'll have enough payload with passengers and all your junk in the bed. Make sure to check the sticker.

There is a frame mount trike rack that I can add, and planning an aftermarket cassette toilet, but I would have concerns about taking too much weight off the tongue. No shower though, grandkids only take baths.
