How to lift car hitch alone

I’m 72, 140 lb female, with average physical strength for lifting. I recently watched two strong men lift my tow bar to horizontal position to connect my trailer hitch to my Class C and car. I tried to lift the tow bar alone and had difficulty. If I travel alone, how can I hitch it by myself? I wonder if there is a way to place the tow bar atop a plastic box to make it level for connecting. Does anyone have a good idea? I don’t always want to travel with someone else. Debbie Cannon

I put my tow bar on my Class A once. I leave it on the hitch, just fold the bars to one side and cover it.

I agree with twin boat. Most tow bar assemblies come with a fairly heavy duty weather proof cover for the actual tow bars when they’re retracted and parked parallel to the rear bumper. The entire tow bar assembly that fits into the hitch receiver with its tow arms, stay on the motorhome always. Nothing to lift except the actual individual arms.

Like the others have said; I never took my hitch off the motorhome.
Thanks,
