Infiniti QX80 suspension

I am using a QX 80 to tow an Airstream FC 27FB with a Blue OX sway pro w/d hitch. The only issue i have is the TV seems to porpoise from front to back quite a bit. Has anyone else had this problem and resolved it? Thanks Gary

I have a 2013 qx56 And have towed my 32foot jayco with it and I did not have any problems. Perhaps your hitch is not set up properly. I believe To much or to little to tongue weight could cause your issue.

Could be you have way too much trailer for your TV. What's the payload on your QX80? Towing a 32' Jayco with an Infiniti, how are you not overloaded Golfer503?

The qx56/80 has a tow rating of 8500lbs. My primary tow vehicle is a Denali HD. I've only towed my 32 footer Once for short little trip without it being loaded, for service/warranty things. Not for camping.
Sorry for the hijack.

Tow rating is pretty useless, you probably exceeded your payload on any of those SUV's anyway!

Payload

Payload of QX 80 is about 1650 lbs
Tow capacity 8500 lbs
Tongue weight about 825 lbs
AS 27FB rated at 7400 lbs fully loaded. I am running at about 6800 to 7000 lbs depending on water, gray and black tank levels
Both TV and TT are level. w/d hitch moved about 400lbs to the front.

Will try next travel day with less tension on the w/d bars
Someone suggested rear airbags on the Infiniti, any idea of where to get

Thanks for the input. Gary

You should have a minimum of 850 pounds of tongue weight at 7000 pounds. A true 3 pass trip to the scales will show where all your weights are but without knowing all 3 scale passes there is not enough information to help.

Payload of QX80 is about 1650, tongue weight about 850. Is it or isn't it, sounds like a guess? Is that what the door sticker has on it, 'weight of passengers and cargo should not exceed' for payload. I wouldn't trust the sticker, speaking from experience. Also you may be able to borrow a tongue weight scale from your local trailer supply store!
