Integrating a wireless rearview camera to stereo

Hi all,

I've been searching around and I haven't found much on the topic, so here goes:

I have a Furion wireless camera on the back of my 26' TT, but I've been trying to figure out if there's a way to integrate the video signal into one of the video inputs of an aftermarket car stereo.

I'm thinking something like a converter box/antenna that could be mounted anywhere, and instead of a screen, you get a a video-out plug.

I really like to try and minimize dash clutter, so if there's a way to remove 1 screen off the dash, that'd be awesome.

This would be going into a 2008 Toyota Sequoia Limited, but I haven't chosen a replacement stereo system yet.

I welcome any discussion, thanks!

Your Furion wireless camera will likely be using proprietary frequency and security on the wireless signal.
Not likely going to find a magic box to convert it unfortunately.

I outfitted 3 trailers with cheap online available made in China rear view wireless cameras.
They used standard 2.4 GHz range wireless frequency.
They used what you are looking for: a video in to wireless adapter and a wireless to video adapter out.
At the time the camera, adapter and monitor where under $100.00.
They worked but got some interference at times.

i have a Kenwood in dash navigation unit ( don't know the model number) and I bought a Kenwood camera (wired). i had the guy at our stereo store run the wires to the rear bumper. i haven't got it hooked up yet, but he said it'll work fine. he wouldn't sell a blue tooth one he said they work and sometimes they don't.

There are several wireless backup cameras that will work on your phone, most around or under $100. Assuming you have your phone already on the dash... Try searching RVsTrailer.com for one option (that I'm considering as well).

Rear view

I'm going to be very brief in my answer.

Having a rear view camera is very little help, even if the camera will work with your in dash monitor. I had a camera mounted on my brand new travel trailer and saw the drunk, uninsured driver coming up on my tail, smashing into my rear end, and flipping the trailer over. What I did not have was a recording of the accident.
I now have DVR recorders on all my vehicles. Front and rear facing The DVR portion is built in to the monitor, so your in dash monitor will not work. Prices are very cheap for the technology. A camera alone is a waste of money.

Oh I'm sure all the brands use proprietary frequencies. I'm sure that Furion and all the other brands are made in China too.

I guess what I was hoping for is for these brands to have available a wireless receiver with an audio/video out so it could be integrated into an in-dash system. I would absolutely buy that if they sold one, I'm just not aware of one.

Maybe someone from Furion will read this...
