Interesting tow vehicle

I will say I have not seen this combination in motion yet. It is going to be interesting to see it get out of the park as it is up a decent hill, and according to the other host they had a hard time on a lesser slope in the park.

2 rear axle set up....and appears NOT big clearance between 5vr front cap and back wall of that modified RV...that would be tough in turns

Does it have a sliding hitch setup???

If I was in park my curiosity would cause me to go strike up a converstation.....one of many I am sure Owner has had before

Hop on over and get the skinny..........

I may try the conversation tomorrow. It is a gas MH, I am less concerned about cap to Cab clearance, than to the frame to front compartment clearance. The MH has a tag axle that seemed to have excessive camber. The 5er is a Holiday Rambler Presidential length not known.

Definitely funky! Gas engine for that much rig... I can see why it would struggle. I bet it would do much better with a pickup sized diesel engine. Or go all out & put something like a C12 Cat engine in it. It probably rids fairly well with that long of a wheel base.

Pretty sure that’s an old gmc. Most had a 455 olds. Lots of low end torque.

Wonder if the wife kicks him out of the trailer a lot and this set up makes sleeping in the truck more bearable?

Well if it was, it lost most of that low end torque!

Took two tries to get to top of loop from site, then with the help of a short flat spot made up the second hill.

The GMC motorhomes were much sleeker than the one pictured.
I wonder how many times they've been pulled over for impeding traffic.

Boy do I feel like that is going to have many visits to the trans rebuilding shop.

I can recall taking a trip up north skiing with a buddy and his 34' motor home powered by a 454 chevy big block and that tank was a bullet down hill and a snail up hill. I cant imagine what 16,000 more pounds would do up hill.

What an odd setup.
Maybe they changed the rear axle ratio but I doubt it. I would bet that once something serious breaks, it will sit and rot.

That rear axle on the tow vehicle looks way overloaded. I don't get why you would on purpose do such a big mod to a TV for such a mediocre outcome performance-wise.
