The price of diesel has come down from $2.03 to $1.99 here in eastern North Carolina. I still have a little of the $1.84 that I got in South Carolina coming back from Florida

Mid-week this week I noticed that fuel was 1.74 for regular gas, 1.84 for mid-grade and 1.94 for premium gas --- 1.95 for Diesel. Gas prices just went up and now Premium gas is 2.05. I suspect diesel will follow in a few days

Diesel at $1.699 in Oklahoma City Friday. Been bouncing around for a couple of weeks but is staying very close to cost of unleaded after being as much as $.27 per gallon higher than unleaded all winter. Gene

I don't think it is going to get lower. I recently read that the US uses 100 million gallons a month. I don't know if that is a fact but if it is and India and China are using more and more all the time, we are in deep stuff.

$1.84 in Gulfport MS.
Gotta feel for the independant 18 wheeler Owner/Operator. Gotta be starving. Can't remember a time when diesel was higher than gas!!
When we lived in San Diego during 70's gas crunch, everyone was buying diesel cars and going to Tiajuna and getting diesel for $.12 - $.15 a gal. Wonder what it is in Mayheko now

Diesel fuel is tied to home heating oil (which is usually high sulphur distillate), of which the stock is down on average due to the winter weather. Stock are down in the mid Atlantic area. So this is a good reason to raise prices in North America.
To take advantage of this they crank up the price on diesel fuel even though the specifications are very different.
I just filled up yesterday and it was $2.60 per gallon US. Never paid such a high price in my lifetime. There is no shortage here either, it is all in the game and taxes.!!!!

last week here in North Carolina (my area) fuel was $1.99 and a few days ago it went ot $2.09. I went down to Morehead City yesterday and bought diesel at Walmart for $1.92. I filled up both tanks. I may not need fuel until spring unless we go RV ing somewhere.

During the past 3 weks we have had a steady climb. Paid $1.93.9 at a local truck stop. saw prices mostly $1.99.9 up to a high of $2.09.9. Guess I'll have to park tthe beast for a while and get a skate boad.

Regardless of the price of oil, or whether winter is/was cold, the facts are that diesel is now higher priced than gasoline. Thats unheard of!!!
And it all started about 7-9 months ago. (Check your fuel records)
Diesel is a "middle distillate" like kerosene, jet fuel, etc. Takes less to refine it.
Why the current disparity between gas/diesel??
