Is there a pilot brake control made specifically for a 2012 Jeep Liberty

I bought a pro series pilot brake control from an RV dealer, but my mechanic says there is one made specifically for Jeep.

I can't find anything on their website for you car, but he probably said that because he found a factory brake controller plug on your jeep. It's always best to use the factory plug, it'll have the most reliable connection and a clean looking install.

There are plenty of other brands that sell a direct plug in brake controller for your car. Here's an easy link.

I'd recommend a proportional controller, they are double the price but they are nicer if you plan on using it alot or just want to be more comfortable during your journey.

Their own description says they are "timed actuated" This is an entry-level controller that will not perform nearly as well as a true "proportional" controller. I would not buy a controller that even mentions "timed". My advice, read up on brake controllers so you know why some are better that others. Tekonsha makes and sells the Prodigy controller that in my opinion is a much better choice. Can you return that one or trade-up to a Prodigy?

Yea, since your vehicle is already wired up to support a proportional controller, i would go that route. It's a little more money, but what's very negligible when it comes to the safety of your loved ones.
