That's a loaded question.

We need a LOT more detail, but based on the short wheelbase of the JGC and the travel trailer, I wouldn't suggest it.

Not loaded at all.
I'd just say NO.

A quick search indicates that you can tow up to 5,000 lbs. And, I strongly suggest that you only tow up to about 80% of a vehicles rated capacity due to the fact that the tow rating is only for the vehicle and one driver. All the other stuff you have in the tow vehicle reduces the capacity. Also, you need to learn about the impact of the tow vehicle's wheelbase when towing longer trailers.

IF, you keep the cargo weight lite & balanced, travel with holding tanks empty, use a WDH & dual sway bars, carefully maintain tire pressures, drive very carefully and slow, avoid mountains and twisty roads, stay put on windy days, then you should absolutely not tow a 30 footer with a Jeep Grand Cherokee.

What exactly are you trying to do? Yes your Jeep will 'pull' your trailer up to 45mph. Do not try it on the highway at 70 mph. That will not be safe.

Just curious, what is the wheelbase of your Jeep?

Here is a guideline that I think is good to adhere to.

Specs for the 1999-2004 Grand Cherokee show 105.9" WB.

The chart shows a 15' to 19' overall trailer length for a 105.9" wheelbase. For a 30' trailer you would need at least 150" wheelbase.

My story - I had a tow vehicle with a 122" wheelbase trying to tow a 26.5' travel trailer. It was the tail wagging the dog scenerio. I had terrible sway as I tried to keep up with the right lane traffic on the highway.

I traded that vehicle in on a tow vehicle with 145" wheelbase. Exact same set-up, exact same loading, exact same travel trailer towed great with the longer wheelbase. No more sway at 72 mph.

No. Just dont do it. Too much trailer, not enough wheelbase. I pull way over gcwr on my truck and i wouldnt tow a 30ft tt with a grand for more than a one time short distance low speed deal. Im the guy that if i tell you i wouldnt do it, its a really bad idea, btw.
