New (to me) tow vehicle

Back in early fall DW and I sold our coach and downsized to a TT. I had my doubts as to whether or not my 01 f150 was up to task or not.I decided I wanted either a 2500 suburban or a ford Ex.

While browsing around on craigslist I ran across this Excursion.its a 2000 model with 200,000 miles but has been very well kept and PO had many maintence records to go with it .Several new parts have been replaced in the last year or so.
I made him and offer and he accepted so here she sits.It has the 5.4 with 4.10 ratio so It should handle my TT fine.I'm a mechanic and own my own shop so any issues I can handle myself.

Due to the mileage I had concerns about the transmission and transfer case.Luckily A close friends owns a Trans shop and is going to redo the Trans/Transfer for parts cost if I will pull them out.

When All is said And done I will have the Vehicle ready to tow and have less than $4000 Invested

Looks like a great vehicle. Don't tell my wife that you only invested $4000.00 . I may be slightly over that figure!

You seem well aware of the high mileage issues and have a plan to deal with them. Sounds like a wise investment.
