New Tow Vehicle

My 2014 F350 SRW Powerstroke was involved in an accident and unfortunately was totalled. Thankfully no one was hurt. So, after a month of shopping around, I finally pulled the trigger and picked up this beauty. It's a 2015 F350 DRW, Platinum Edition Powerstroke. I had to fly down from Dallas to San Antonio to pick it up. Awesome truck and can't wait to hook up or Cedar Creek to it.

We were heading out for a 25 day trip, driving west on I20 from Dallas. We were driving through Abilene when a truck swerved over from the onramp to the traffic lanes. This caused a pickup in front of us to slam on his brakes to avoid being hit by the guy merging on. We slammed on our brakes, but just couldn't stop the truck and 14,000lb 5'er in time. Hit the guy in front of us, spun him around, he hit the railing, we hit him again, he hit someone trying to weave their way past the mayhem. Our truck had front end damage, the bed hit the cab and the frame was bent front and rear. On a good note, our Superglide slider hitch held strong. Although it was bend off it's frame somewhat, it stayed together. Thank god, or we might have had a trailer come through our back window. 2 trucks totalled and a 3rd damaged. Thankfully, no one was injured, but overall, a pretty [Mod Edit] experience.

WOW!

...and then you stepped up to a dually. Smart move. I'll bet that's a lot safer.
