New Truck, how much off MSRP?
How much can a person expect to get off MSRP when buying a new 3/4 ton pickup?
Are any brands easier to get a large discount over others?
Thanks
Ken

When I was looking at 1 tons Ram was given 12k off , ford 9k off and Chevy 7k off. I ordered my 2017 F350 and got 9k off. You should be able to get the same discount on 3/4 tons. I did get the same deal ordering mine as one they had on the lot. I wanted a different color and no sun roof.

I don’t even look at msrp. I only deal off invoice. Certain sites will let you configure your vehicle and then show invoice pricing. Pretty easy to get invoice minus rebates without even haggling. Also easier working with their internet department.
If one dealer has your vehicle but won’t deal another dealer that will can get that truck moved to their lot. We’ve done that before.
I got my truck 6% below invoice and then rebates off of that. No haggling required.

It's more dealer-specific than brand based.
My local Ford dealer makes you work down from Sticker, the guy up the road 60-miles works from invoice.
I know the owner of the local RAM dealer and his sales manager basically offered me invoice less a cash rebate that normally only goes with financed deals.
Locally, the GMC dealer is known to be the least flexible on pricing.
If going with a 3/4 ton and diesel, it's probably more valuable to your wallet to study the Yellow payload stickers between brands/models to make sure you're buying enough truck for your RV the first time.
Best regards,
Chris

I see Ram is using employee pricing. I also see $12,000 of certain trim levels on Ram.
Ford I try to get $10,000 off. One time I got $10,000 off the next truck I got $8,000off.
Ford will discount their XLT trim package more than Lariat, King Ranch, Platium, or Limited trim levels. Like XLT easy to get $10,000 off but other trim levels only $8,000 off on a much more expensive truck.
I do not know about GM yet.
I would be great to order a truck that you want and still get $10,000 of msrp.

I buy GM HD trucks and typically wait till the next model year is hitting the lot and when there are big factory incentives on the leftovers before I flip a truck. I usually get around 2% under invoice plus whatever factory money is available. The factory money is the big variable and is not usually advertised like it is on the 1/2 tons. Factory inventives can get as high as $6-7k but $5k is pretty good. This pretty much always puts me over $10k off msrp/sticker or better; about the best I've done is $14k off sticker back in 2010 on an HD truck.

I bought my 2018 GMC that the msrp was $71k plus for $56k and it was a current model year not a holdover. If GMC or Ram then check dlr’s like Dennis Dillon for pricing and work from there. It was the same with my 2016 Ram $71k and paid $53k. I bought both of these trucks local to me and told them where they needed to be on price or i would be in Idaho the next day buying a truck.

Nevada - can I hire you to buy my next truck? It is very likely going to be a GMC 3500.
You are a great truck price negotiator [emoji106]

Dennis Dillion. Dave smith sold a number of years ago and the deals are no better than what I can get at home.

Use DD price and beat up on your local dlr. They have money they can pull from if they need it to sell a vehicle. I dont remember what its called but the dlr can dip into it to make the sale. Here is an example at DD https://www.dennisdillongmc.com/Vehi...-ID/3555608323 I think you can do better if you try.

Looks like GMC and Ram are covered, any Chevrolet and Ford dealers with excellent pricing?
