I got the email from Ford yesterday saying my F350 is built. Should arrive here in SW Florida the third week of July. The dealership has a few accessories that they’re installing then I should be able to receive the truck. All in lead time will be seven months from when I placed the order at the end of December.

Went by the local Ford dealer a few days ago and was told that Ford might not even make an HD in 2023. Don't know how true it is. She might have just been trying to convince me to buy the 2022 used Lariat she had for 93,000.

Wow...93k. I might not be able pass up selling mine if someone offered that. That's 50% over what I paid.

Wow - they had a Lariat. My local dealer only had a few XLT models. But the new XLT options are more like the Lariat without the leather seats. I looked at a XLT F-150 with the panoramic sun roof and alot of options I would have expected on the Limited.
Oh, they had 3 new F-150's instead of 150 that they had in 2018. In 2018 they had all the colors in most model trims. Like if you wanted a Blue Lariat they had it. Or a Red Limited they had that too.

7.3l gasser.
When I ordered it I was told at that time that the fifth wheel prep is what was going to extend the build process. I wanted the prep factory installed so I waited longer.

See my reply above. It will be seven months from the time I ordered before we’ll get our 350 gasser. Worth the wait to get it built as I wanted.

Ordered my SD in late November 2021, got it in 4 months. Sales guy said the short lead time because it was of a lower trim?...Very happy now!

I traded in my Silverado 2500HD Custom CC LB 4x4 on 12/22/21 when I ordered a new 2022 (same model with more options). Got a great deal, in todays market, with an even swap at MSRP.
model still has not been accepted for production by GM six mo. later due to parts constraints and lack of allocation by dealer.
Last week dealer called me and informed my that GM will not produce any more long beds this year and if I want one I will have to reorder an 2023 model. I went to dealer and went over the build sheet to confirm all the options I wanted and was assured that no items were on constraint but they don't have pricing for new model yet and I will loose the price protection on the 22 deal. I was assured that they will treat as well as they can on pricing so I placed the order.
This week I learned from internet searching that the power folding mirrors, I wanted, are not available for the new model. Contacted dealer and he said he was not aware until I informed him and confirmed but said we will have to wait until he gets allocation and see what is on constraint at that time.
Evidently there is no guarantee that you can get what you ordered and I have learned that dealer allotment has a great deal to do with how long it takes to get your order accepted by GM after it is placed.
I am beyond frustrated and regretting ever trading in my 21 model as I am missing out on a whole season of hauling my TT.
