If you don't mind me asking, how much, if any, did you get off of MSRP? I have heard everything from 10% to nothing at all. When I bought my 2500 in 2016 I was able to get 18% off, but I think that is not going to happen until the chip thing gets back to normal.

That & a diesel would pull my camper a lot better, but if they are going to gouge people right now, I will just stick with my gasser & stay in the granny lane.

Our 2021 F250 will pull the RV but I'm at limits on cargo capacity and will not risk an accident just to go camping. May sound illogical to some but I put safety over anything else. This is our first RV and never did we expect this type of situation would keep us idle for so long. I'm about to make my 3rd payment on the rig and so far all we've been able to do is get it somewhat stocked, I installed Lithium batteries in it, and we've done a little internal setup on it - in anticipation of using it. Rig is still on the dealer's lot, but I only have until next month to get it moved. Gotta find someone here in North Florida to move it for me if it comes down to it. (Jeopardy clock playing in the backgroud...)

Production date has been pushed 3 times so far. Truck due to go into production today but so far the online order tracker is not showing anything. And on another SuperDuty website rumor has it that Ford is not working production this week due to Veteran's day. (I spent 30 years in the Navy and my government contractor employer does not recognize Veteran's Day as a day off!) Anyone have any luck getting a straight answer from Ford on a truck order other than blaming everything on COVID? Not interested in any other brand of truck....

Sorry, had to vent. This waiting game is just aggravating.
Ya'll have a good day out there.
Sorry to hear about this, but if I would had known back in October it would not had been an issue to run down and grab it for you. We spent 2 weeks at Osprey RV Park on Mayport Naval Station and left on October 24th.
I'll check back with you after December 13th, we will be at Three Flags in Wildwood for a week to see what is going on.
I'll send you a PM here soon to get some information.

Yeah Just got a text from a dealer & he said the industry doesn't really give any discounts on HD trucks. I said really? Cause I got 18% off of my ordered truck in 2016!

That is what a lot of dealerships said when I started looking. What I've found to be true is if you can/want to shop around several dealerships are giving 5% +/- blow MSRP without even haggling. Mark Dodge in St. Charles, Louisiana specifically is doing this for a lot of people on another forum. I have a 3500 on order from a dealership in the KC area. I'm getting 5.6% below MSRP and they are offering me several thousand more in trade in than what I paid them for my 2020 1500 18months ago. Yes the market is right for this kind of a deal and I am a repeat customer. If interested in the particulars, shoot me a message.

If you have a substantial trade the price delta is pretty much the same as it was before because the trade is worth proportionately more; if you are buying without a trade buying a new truck is real spendy right now.

If you have a 2016 to trade I would look at what the trade is worth and factor in the difference and not just focus on the purchase price. With a trade the prices are relative.

Agree that both their truck and your truck will have an increased market value so it might be a wash. Stick to your guns as the dealer will try to rip you off.

My experience - I want to spend 10k difference from my trade. The dealer wants 20k. 3 hours later we have a deal for 10k difference.

I focus on both. I take care of my vehicles very well, so I get maximum trade value & I want some money off the massively marked up vehicle. Dealer may say they are not making any money on the deal, but that is a bunch of crap. They always make money... maybe just not as much as the customer before me that was not educated on the process. The only time I never got a great deal was when I "had" to make a purchase. If they smell that on you, you're done! If you have the ability to walk away from the deal, the deal usually gets better. I have had salesman literally chasing me back to my vehicle throwing out lower numbers to try to get me to purchase theirs. My saving grace might be we are getting close to the end of the year. If a dealership or salesperson hasn't had a good month or year, they will try to make you a good deal to make their numbers look better.

Sorry OP. I (we) have hijacked your thread.

UPDATE
Found out on Wednesday, 11/10/21, that not only did my truck miss it's scheduled November 9th build date, it got bumped to November 17th, which promptly got re-bumped to December 13th. That's 5 times it's been bumped so far. With the potential of the order being further delayed or completely cancelled due to ______ (Fill in the blank)! They also alerted me that although I got a VIN assigned back in September it could still potentially be cancelled due to Ford deciding to no longer build 2022's at some undetermined point in time. This is a load of BS! The truck order is not complicated. I already pulled the Adaptive Steering. Then Ford had me go back and sign the purchase order AND provide Drivers License for them to verify I am a real person ordering the truck, not the dealership trying to just up it's inventory. I have a priority 10 on the order - which salesman told me is highest you can get - but have been told that it's useless with the way things are going. I'm about to pull what's left of my hair out waiting on this thing. I hate this waiting. Maybe someone is trying to tell me something. Still not interested in any other brand of truck. Ok rant done....

I ordered a 2022 F350 Lariat CCLB DRW in April, and STILL don't have a build date. I got the X-plan so roughly 4% off MSRP.

Welcome to the "New" state of the Union...... I'm afraid this is going to be the norm until we make some significant changes in the supply chain.
