I've got a friend who's had his F250 in the shop for six weeks. Seems the dealership is spending all its efforts on prepping used cars/trucks for the lot because they have nothing new to sell. Boy is he torqued......

A friend of mine just picked up a truck that was ordered around March 2021, it shows it was built and waiting for delivery. The build date when he picked up the truck was August of 2021 and finally got to the dealer the first week of March 2022. I think there is some parts they are missing after they come line and then they are delivered to some yard closer to the dealer where the car/truck are sitting for months waiting for final assembly. Why else would these HD truck have credit on the build sheet for deleting items like rear seat heat?

Ordered a F250, XLT Premium, 7.3, FX4, E locker, On November 29, 2021 and it is supposed to be here by March 20th. Dealer said the fast turn around was due to lower trim level.

My F150 adventure continues. Because I lease the truck, I went into my dealer last March to place an order. I wanted to try the continuous controlled damping. As a result, the order could not be submitted until "Job 2" which was end of last June. Order was finally "confirmed" 10/1. As of this morning it is listed as "in production" and I was able to download my window sticker. Truck is a platinum trim level.

I was beginning to wonder if I was going to end up with a 2023!

My F150 is finally in. It's been a long journey. Hearing that getting trucks built was going to take time, I visited my dealer way before I normally would, last March. At that time, while the active damping feature had been announced, orders were not accepted until Job 2 for the 2021s. That happened near the end of June and my order was accepted by June 21. Then with all the delays, it got converted to a 2022. Got a VIN assigned in Feb and built March 9. I stopped by the dealership today to take a quick look at it and am happy. Truck is Platinum trim SuperCrew 4x4. I added the 2K power option with the 3.5 EB engine. I have been worrying about cargo and am relieved that it came in at 1525 lbs. Since we travel light in the truck, this is more than sufficient for our needs, it's more than 100 lbs. higher than the original F150 I used to pull our trailer.

Finally getting into the game. Placed my order for F250 Lariat ccsb with 7.3 on 3/9. Got the email that it is scheduled for production the week of 5/2 on 3/17. The wife wants to wait until next year to buy a tt, but after the truck gets here I may be able to talk her into moving a little quicker on that.

I just drove past a few dealerships, one Ford and one Ram. Neither dealer had many trucks. Maybe about a dozen total each. They usually would have 75.

Gmc 3500 drw

We ordered a GMC 3500 DRW on March 7th with no projected delivery time provided other than, "hopefully, sometime this year".

Surprisingly, the dealer contacted me on March 21st and said that I now had a targeted build date of April 14th. He said that "normally" the truck would arrive about 30 days after the build date, but during these times it could take up to 60 days. He said that he would contact me during the week of April 14th and let me know how things are proceeding.

When I originally placed the order, I was expecting a late Summer or early Fall delivery. Anything earlier than that would be a bonus as far as I'm concerned.

Just received notice that my truck is in production now. It was originally scheduled for week of 5/2, but was moved up to week of 4/25. Not sure it's actually being built now, or if all of next week's run is being staged and shifted into the in production status.

Our GMC 3500 was ordered on 3/7/22. I was notified today that it came off the assembly line at the Flint factory on 4/22/22 and was provided with the VIN. Should be at my dealer's within two to three weeks.

Lead times are all over the place, for all of the big 3. I hear everything from a year to the normal 4-6 weeks. Doesn't seem to matter what trim level you buy either.
