An all electric pickup is an ev. Having a keg in the bed doesn’t make it beer powered. Likewise having a diesel generator sitting in the bed doesn’t change how the vehicle was manufactured.

So, they could charge up the battery if they are boon docking when the EV dies do to NO battery power!

But I am not really worried at all because I won't be driving by than in NY. I might be in Florida. But that is a long way off for me!

Just think of those millions of people in New York who live in apartment buildings and have no place to charge. No problem you say, there will be a charge cord at every parking meter ($$$). Maybe, but the NY thieves will be harvesting the copper cables and bringing them to the scrap yard. Already copper is approaching $5 per pound. By 2035 it will be $20.

Meh. You are assuming technology won’t change in 14 years. In the last 10 years EV range for cars have tripled with the same price tag. What will it do in another 14? Or fuel cells...or...

The term "zero emissions" is a lie. All these cars do is move the emissions someplace else. Electric producers burn fossil fuels, and hydrogen doesn't grow on trees. Will we get all our electric power from wind and solar by 2035? Don't bet on it. The amount of land that would have to be devoted to these solar and wind forms would be astounding, not to mention all the battery farms that would be needed to store the power for when the sun don't shine and the wind don't blow. Wait until you see the cost of electricity produced by these mythical "green" projects. Either we keep using fossil fuels or we pay an enormous price for a "green" replacement. Our politicians are making laws based on sheer fantasy. But then, what is new about that?

Exactly^^^^^

Energy production is NOT free of emissions.

In fact an ICE can burn less fuel than some power plants. But that doesn't fit the greenhouse gas narrative.

Technology may change, and then again it may not. We can't rely on technology that doesn't exist yet. Take nuclear fusion for example. Fusion was going to solve all the world's energy problems but it never materialized.

Zero emission is a fallacy. The batteries need to be recharged, is generating the electricity needed to do this zero emission? What about the batteries when they need disposal, they contain environmentally dangerous substances, where do you put them? Solar panels have the same problem. What about the mining needed to dig up the minerals and chemicals needed to make batteries and solar panels, think this doesn't impact the environment? Politicians strategy for controlling you is making you think they're saving you from something.

Thank god there is no mining involved in making ICE vehicles..or producing fossil fuels...or lead acid batteries...or tin foil hats. .

Just sayin.
