I was saying Ford is bad because they target max. Like max fuel economy or max payload just for bragging rights. It does make impressive commercials however.

I agree Ram does the same thing. It was good to see Ram can tow 35,100lbs and Chevy now can tow 35,200. No doubt Ford will tow 35,201 lbs.

It will be interesting to see J2807 come into play.

On a side note: Andre from TFL got his CDL so he can now drive while testing these 35k weights. That is a lot of water totes.

OP didn't say what options he ordered. If it were me towing that much weight, I'd option it out for max payload and towing. BTW, the F-450 has the same max payload rating.
I sorry not going to order a stripper TV for a few extra pounds of payload. We have Ram 3500 Laramie DRW with a listed payload of 5,411# that is plenty to cover a 4,000#+ pin and the other stuff.

I have it pretty well decked out. 4X4, Lariat Ultimate pkg., Linex spray bed liner, 5th wheel prep, blind side alert, adaptive steering, adaptive cruise control, all cameras, box tube running bds, dual alternators, 6.7 PS, chrome pkg, remote unlock tailgate. I don't think I am getting moon roof which I hate any way so that reduces lbs taken off from the payload. Tri coat red, Heavy mudflaps same as I have on the '16. I opted for the 3.55 gearing instead of 3.73. With 50 extra horses I should still have great towing and hopefully gain on fuel economy. 14,000 GVWR.

Again, you will really like that truck and wonder what can they possibly do to make it better...nothing.

Maybe warp drive...

Let us know what the payload (Cargo capacity) ends up being when you get it.

Will do! I am thinking pretty close to that 7640 rating on their specs page.

After checking the specs page with it configured for 14,000 GVWR it has a 6550 payload rating.

If Ford got a F350 diesel dually to 7500 lbs they really lightened them up the past few years. I can't remember any Ford CC dually under 8200+ lbs, they were heavy!

All aluminum body now. But I am sure it is more than 7500 lbs. That would be a regular cab 4X2. 4X4 CC longbox dually will still be around 8000 or more.

If a 14 000lb GVWR has a 6500 lb payload then it cannot weigh more than 7500 lbs. I have a feeling actual payload as shown on the yellow door jamb sticker will barely be more than 5200-5300 lbs with a diesel dually.

I think 5,500 to 5,800 tops with the trim and options. My Ram is 5,411# and nice trim, and moonroof.

Do not know if this helps but my 2017 2wd F-250 6.2 full fuel and with me at a fat 200lbs in it weighed 6,640 lbs. at the local CAT scale. I also had about 50lbs of tools and stuff.

So the truck alone would weigh 6,400.

My 2012 F-450 King Ranch weighed 8,998 at the CAT scale with 5th wheel hitch, tools and me. So a real close solo truck weight would be 8,550 lbs (me @ 200, hitch @200, and tools @ 50).

For 2019 the Aluminum body reduces by 700 lbs but the better frame adds 400 lbs. back in. for a net of 300lbs lighter.

So my educated guess is the 2019 Ford Dually would weigh 8,200lbs. I am guessing the cargo capacity to be 5,800lbs.

My 2016 F350 CC Long Bed DRW 4WD has a cargo capacity of 5601. Looked at a newer one recently with all the bells and whistles and it was about the same.
