Not with a trailer. Been over it hundreds of times though. Take it slow, it's a good road so no worries. Step climb but with a strong TV you'll be ok!

Northern Nevada Folks/Spooner Summit
Now Echo Summit, you really need to take your time, its steep and narrow and a slow ride with traffic. In case you're leaving Tahoe that way. Do you have a Timber Ridge or Creekside? We owned a Wind River for a few months before we decided to full time and bought a Landmark 365! ORV makes great products!

I too been over Spooner a thousand times, but never towing. My rig is an 04 Ram Quad cab 4x4, bone stock, engine wise, for now. 305 hp 555 tq. With bags, 48RE. I figured 2nd gear up and down. Guess the worst that could happen is gernade the trans..

Glacier Peak is a nice 5th wheel. We wanted something bigger for us for full time living. I'll always recommend ORV products, you can't go wrong.

Is that a good thing or a bad thing? I don't think 11k difference in trailer weight has anything to with it. Jeep towing capacity is only 3,500# and trailer gross was 3,500#. That's a lot of weight for a Jeep. Oh, by the way that combo made it mountains outside Leadville, Colorado. Gear down and don't over race the engine and you can climb anything. Bends in the road is another thing, but Spooner is a 4 lane freeway.

Like I've said, new to 5th wheels but not new to towing, and not used to weights and lengths I now have. So I guess asscenting I gear down (automatic) keep rpm's around 21-2500 and motor on up the grade, likely around 45-50 mph.
