Auto start/stop? No way, no how. Hate the shake every time it starts up. It idles so quiet I can't even hear it but then again my hearing is bad and I wouldn't hear a train next to me :-) But ain't no way I'm putting up with it on this rig. My wife has a new Nissan and the S/S you can't even feel it so that's OK.

Might have a jail break on the S/S buy getting into the computer. We'll see.
Its just like electric cars.
Not ready for prime time yet.
The power has to come from somewhere (right now dead dinos)
Range is a problem and heavy vehicles are a problem.
Battery power density can't compare in BTUs to dead dinos per gallon
The resale at battery life is dismal. Costs about what the car is worth.
What do you do with 1,000,000 dead car batteries that size?
If and only if you live and work in a big city and you're 10-15 miles each way I might try one but not with my situation now.

All things new are not always and advancement.
Auto Start/stop on many newer vehicles is basically the same as you shutting the ignition key off at a red light and starting it back up when it goes green and you hit the gas pedal, except it is done automatically. It does NOT mean we are talking hybrids or special batteries in most cases. It is pretty easy to save 1 to almost 2 MPG doing so, why not?

That is one clean and waxed up truck. Again, very very nice.

On my bucket list is to someday own a F-150 Eco-Boost. I had my chance about a year ago but bought a F-250 instead.

The silver lining of a F-250 6.2 is I am very unlikely to get a speeding ticket. With an Eco-Boost I am very likely to speed.

Wait until you tow with the Eco-Boost. For a gasoline engine it is very similar to a diesel. Lots of low end torque.

Again [emoji106]

Thanks.... I can see the possibility of a speeding ticket...

I agree, I have a 3.5 twin turbo and I get 16.9 average mileage

Gas mileage observations on my 2019 3.5 Eco STX Supercrew with 93 octane gas. Topped off the tank with 2 extra clicks on the nozzle each time. One passenger in vehicle...

Test 1....Cruise control driving 55-63 mph on interstate 25.6 mpg calculated, gauges showed 25.1 mpg

Test 2.... Cruise control driving 68-73 mph depending on traffic...23.5 calculated gauges showed 23.2 mpg

Test 3... No cruise control interstate driving 65-78 mph...21.5 mpg calculated gauges showed 21.1 mpg

Test 3.... City driving 25-55 no cruise 17.6 mpg

2018 STX with V8. 19+ around town (no load, 1 or 2 persons in cab), 21+ on highway, 65-70 mph, cruise control on, same load. Power is more than enough. Passing traffic doing 55 I can be doing 75 -80 before I get past that car.
Plenty for me.
Besides, I have less to break or go bad and the V8 sounds better than a wheezing turbo :-) :-) Its got a throaty roar! Just like a V8 should!

Salesmen at two dealerships told me that Ford has had issues with those V-8's and already had to replace some.... Hope you have a good one...I'll stick with my wheezing turbos

I like the feeling I get when test driving the 3.5 Eco-Boost. There is no other engine, other than the 2.7 Eco-Boost that accelerates as fast. Plus towing at 1,000 - 1,200 RPMs less has to be more relaxing.

The Ford 5.0 liter Coyote engine is way way better than the 5.4 Triton. It is a bit faster than the Ram 5.7 Hemi engine.

Depending if and when I buy a new travel trailer and its size I will keep my 2017 F-250 6.2 gasser. If I buy a Winnebago Mini Plus I will keep the F-250. If I end up buying a Lance trailer the top truck on my list is the F-150 with the 3.5 Eco-Boost.

I too like that feeling when I press the gas pedal... very quick... and it surprises the BMW's when I pull ahead of them...

MDO.. Congrats on your new wheels. Yes the 3.5 Ecoboost is fun to drive, even our 1st gen with the 6 speed. No I haven't gotten any speeding tickets yet. Just curious tho, you stated in your signature that your payload is 1792#. I take it that's the yellow sticker number. Did you weigh it before added all the extras?

No....The tonneau, front mats and storage box weighed less than 75 lbs. I didn't weigh the truck but I will once I install the rear mat. Yes, the 1792# is on the yellow sticker. I started out wanting a HDPP but didn't feel I really needed that much capacity since our TT search has been narrowed down to a maximum of 23' and 5,000 lbs loaded, possibly much less. Also the HDPP requires a longer bed and I have enough issues parking this beast in the city with the short bed. Just spent the weekend in Asheville NC and found it much easier just to use an Uber to enjoy the nightlife.

Actually the weight of all the accessories was less than 50 lbs including the weight of the boxes.
