I know the Ford seats were very good in 2011 when I bought a F-150 Lariat. But they might have been good before then. You almost need to go with the better leather seats to get all the adjustments and lumbar support.
I would take Advil before a long trip until I bought the F-150 Lariat, then F-450 King Ranch and now F-250 Lariat. Like I said, the Ford upscale seats have lots of adjustments plus lumbar support so I do not think of taking Advil in the last 10 years.
My DW also has lower back pain so she likes good seats too.

So far i have 0 problems with my 19 ram 2500 tradesman seats. Longest single length trip has been 500 miles in a day, twice in 4 days (up and back). I would love the air cooled seats though...everything else fits my 6'4" 275lb frame though.

I have black leather in my F-250 Lariat but they are ventilated and cooled. Really need that in the summer...
Looked at a car with solid black leather and would not buy it because too hot in summer

I cant do the cooled seats. My inlaws had a traverse ltz awhile back with cooled seats, i cant even tell you why, but i hated them. Leather isnt bad, when i inherited my moms 74 chevelle as my first car in highschool with vinyl seats.....wow, that seat would blister whatever touched it. I dont think ive ever even used the heated seats in my 6.0.

You can cool the seats for 15 seconds, 30 seconds, or whatever you need to cool them then you can turn the cooling feature off. That stops the cooling to a neutral temperature.
To me, it is a very nice feature.

In the Pittsburgh area cooled seats really are not needed, heated seats yes but no real need for cooled seats. In Columbus Ohio where the Summers are a lot hotter you need cooled seats and now in Florida I really need cooled seats.

Update
Finally got the chance to take the truck out for a couple hundred miles while pulling my travel trailer.
Except for a couple comfort issues, I am so happy that I bought this truck and that I went with diesel.
MPG, mostly while pulling the trailer and some without the trailer was 13.8 mpg, compared to the F250 on the same trips mpg in the 5’s.
Towing was effortless and due to the Tekonsha P3 that was on the truck when I bought it, braking was fantastic.
What I save on mpg over the F250 will very easily make up for the cost of extra oil and filters.
Comfort Issues.
I have already gone over the seats and I am still looking.
While pulling the trailer, I noticed some porpoising and while empty, the rear definitely does some bouncing over bumps and railroad tracks.
First thought for the porpoising is to buy a set of Bilstein shocks, but then I got thinking about doing something to lighten up the springs for added comfort and level out the rake.
After softening the suspension, if needed for heavier loads, I would then add adjustable airbags to the rear.
Since the truck has only 30,000 miles and there are no signs of the front suspension being worn out, I am thinking about replacing just the springs and shocks.
Does anyone have any suspension kit recommendations for 2wd 2006 Quad Cab Ram 2500?
Thanks
Ken
