The Ford fiesta used to have a Ford "hemi" engine... Nothing to brag about, 50 years after it was perfected.

I think that at that price, you're talking about the HD Payload option. Max Tow is much more common on the lots (I have one) and a lot cheaper. And agree, the HD Payload option makes for a very capable truck. Wish I had it on my current truck.

Yes, if we had the money, we would have a new Dodge 2500 6.7 gasser in the driveway. But we wanted to upgrade from our 4.7 Ram to better tow our 2015 Grey Wolf 26RL 5700# DW. We found our current 2013 Dodge 1500 5.7 Hem i( 8900# capacity ) at a good price, tows great, and as good, if not better , gas mileage, as the 4.7 . 23 hwy,11 towing.

Both will be our retirement presents for us, and love them both !!!! Anyone want to send money for a 2500, i will provide address !!!

Well the front and rear springs and shocks are all upgraded so it's gotta be a stiffer ride unloaded. Also the LT tires will crisp up the ride.

Worth it IMHO if you're doing any heavy tow/hauling at all. The regular suspension of all 1/2 ton trucks is tuned for unloaded commuting and grocery-getting as far as I'm concerned. If you want to work them at all close to their limits you need to upgrade the suspension and tires. That's what I did, but getting the HD Payload option would have been cheaper, and you get the upgraded rear axle/wheels as well.

Just wish the Ford HDs had the 4-pt adjustable air suspension like the RAM 1500s. Seems wasted with the RAM 1500s with their already low payload; the air suspension lowers it even further. Now a RAM 2500 with the air suspension (available in 2015 models?) sounds fantastic to me.

Nissan is coming out with a 5 liter Cummins in its 2015 model. Fuel mileage and tow capacity looks promising for the light truck market.

I have a 13' XLT Ecoboost Screw 4x4 w/HD package. We downgraded from an 04 F-250 6.0. Was towing a 31' TT with both trucks. The 150 pulled it so much better. DW wanted to downgrade from TT to our present 5er..26sab so we would have an easier fit into FSCG's. So far we have put about 4000 miles on the 5er with 3/4 the miles up & around the southern Rockies (Molas Pass, Wolf Creek area). Pulls 5er better than the TT. Also is used is my screw off vehicle when not towing. Rides like a dream. Bout 16.5 in town & 21 Hiway & bout 10ish towing. Has LT tires. I run 60F-70R towing and 50F-60R not towing. So far so good
