Should I fix these two things before I sell my truck?

Two things that I am thinking about repairing before putting my truck up for sale.

First is a dent in the roof from the basketball hoop blowing over and hitting the truck. $444 is the quote from the paintless dent repair guy.

Second is a dent in the rear bumper from backing into a light pole. $656 for a new OEM chrome insert thingy and I can put it on myself.

Autotrader research indicates I can ask $24k for the truck if these are fixed. Not sure what the actual sell price might be. I would be happy to get $22k without the repairs.

Question: would it help if I get these two things fixed? Either in speed of sale or proceeds?

Thanks,

Tom

You MIGHT be able to pull the dent in the cab yourself. Means getting at it from the inside and pushing just right. You Tube is your friend here.
The bumper needs to be replaced, but you can buy an aftermarket one and it's not a difficult job to put the plastic back on. It just has push tabs on the bottom.
Be careful when removing. The tabs squeeze together and push out from the bottom.

on a 2015 I would not be looking for perfection.
If I were buying those 2 issue would not be a deal breaker for me assuming everything else was good.

I would have the cab repaired and not worry about the bumper

I would fix both. I'd pay a paintless guys and buy the bumper off ebay. I replaced my bumper with one off ebay for a few hundred. I thought I could save my step pad but in the end replaced that too. Bumper was pretty easy but I did have to straighten one of the brackets.

Those 2 items to me mean what else has been neglected.
I'd fix them both before listing the truck for sale.

This is what I’m leaning towards.

I agree w/fixing just the cab dent. A dent on a bumper is to be expected on a nearly 10 year old truck.
