Silverado 2500 gas capabilities

I don't pull my TT much over 70 on the roads we travel. The people on the road driving with me keep me from going any faster. People pass you doing 85mph inches from other peoples bumper then slam on the brakes in front of you a mile down the road.

I would be comfortable doing 80mph with my TT if no road rage commuters were on the road with me. My TT tires are rated at 65mph like most st tires and I often take the risk and run 70-72 without any problems, but its usually 62-65mph.

I can't see any situation were going more than 70-75mph makes sense with any rv. I realize driving out west one could run much faster if they wanted to but I can see the need with an rv. Even if we are talking a tag axle DP. If you have to run 80mph you should leave earlier.

I guess me and you will be behind each other in the left lane. I agree with you nothing drives more more insane then a straggler. Either because there to cautious or towing way more than they should.

I do not think so!

My trailer tires are speed rated for 65MPH and that is fast enough for me. I traveled 5,062 miles in 28 days in Sept and OCT of this year out west. The speed limit in AZ was 80, the speed limit in UT 75, and most other westerners states was around 70. I could have easily done the speed limit with my truck; if I had LT tires on my trailer but they were ST and I did not want a blow-out.

I also average around 11.6 MPG's towing my trailer using approximately 435 gallons of diesel. If I had driven any faster I am sure the MPG's would
suffer and be around 8 to 9MPG's and I would have used a larger amount of fuel.

So when you approach me in the Right Hand lane just mover over to the Left Hand lane and just pass me by. I will see you down the road as you change out your chine bomb tire after it exploded; do to heat and stress and damaged your trailer.

While it is usually someone too cautious or towing to much, it doesn't have to be. Is it that horrible for a guy to take his time anymore? This is the type of attitude that makes driving with others in traffic an annoyance.
Let me guess you guys probably pull right up on the slower vehicals bumper then crack the whip to change lanes at the last second and give the guy a look as you pass. There is nothing wrong with taking it easy on your hoss

I knew the speed limits out west were higher than in the east but dang...80 and 85mph.
I was hoping they were just 75mph.

I did tow my rig at 80mph on a clear strech of road for about a mile. Then slowed back down to the posted 70mph limit.

Who has towed at 62 in an 85mph zone? That has to be extra scary as semi's zoom by.

I make my way around them but in not an a hole to other people going slow especially fellow rvers I've had my words for people on the roads but most people towing on the highways aren't ignorant Ill over take them if there going slow but I give plenty of room and respect in doing so. It's the people in the left lines who won't move over that I make my Bow tie take up there rear view lol

I towed our 39 foot cr3705 weekend warrior that weighs 13500 for about 3 trips with a f-250 diesel until I realized I needed a bigger truck! Bought a f-450 cause price between it and f-350 were about the same, and wouldn't tow with anything less than a dually for the size and weight!

Montana interstate speed limit is 80 in most places. Secondary highways are 70.

Truck speed list is 65 on interstate and 65day/65night on secondary.

Trucks are limited to 65 day and 60 at night on secondary highways.
