The cover is this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003Z9UV8Y

Although Amazon claims it would not fit the F350, it does fit perfectly. Maybe 1/4" space left to the sides and very little above. I did remove the 2 small stamped luggage strap rings in the front wall of the truck bed to snug the box up to the front but they are useless anyway with the tool box in place.

I will take a few pictures of the hinges tomorrow.
Awesome - Thanks. I am looking forward to seeing your hinge mod...

Regards,

John

I’m with you.
Retrax Pro XR works great. You give up some bed space, but hey, when camping, I’m weighted out on payload, so it don’t matter. Tracks make easy mounting of Rhino Rack Crossbars, so you can take bikes and kayaks anywhere. Locks, and virtually waterproof and bear proof.

No one mentioned Peragon? I found it’s the best for non work truck folks. I had Bak quad fold and not impressed at all.

Hello ScopesNC,

I wound up ordering a Truxedo Truxport soft rollup. Grabbed it from Amazon on Prime day and got a sweet coupon and a kickback on my Prime Visa. I figured I would go cheap at first just to keep the bed covered (and hopefully improve my fuel economy a bit). The Truxport was pretty universally liked by owners so it seemed like a good bet for my first cover. Down the road, when I have some experience under my belt, I may upgrade (I really like the retractable covers with the t-channel rails). I want to thank everyone for their great advice - I appreciate it!

Regards,

John
