Tow question

we have an avenger dry weight they say is 4800 lbs . fully loaded is 7100 lbs. I guess that is with propane tanks filled. and loaded with stuff. we have a 2015 chevy Silverado 2 wd with tow package and brake controller. the dealer said we can tow 9200 lbs we also got the weight distrubation hitch. sway control. we are on the east coast so not a lot of hills unless we take a trip to p.a.

In 2015, Chevy didn't make a 2WD truck that could tow 9200lbs; I checked my trailering guide. What's your axle ratio and cab configuration? Also helpful would be your GVWR and payload - both numbers can be found inside the driver's door panel. Get that info first and then some good folks can help a bit more.

it says gcwr 12000 lbs its a v6 and goes to v8 its a crew cab with 4 doors

hmm..... I don't see a question so I assume your asking for some kind of input about your chevy truck /avenger trailer combo.
2015 1500 chevy trucks have tow ratings up to 12000 lbs depending on engine/tranny/gear options.

Looking at 2015 GM online ordering guide shows a 4.3 V6 2wd comes only in a 3.23 gear ratio. Tow ratings run from a 5500 lb to 6100 lbs depending on truck configurations.
The 4wd V6 version shows a 3.42 gear ratio only with up to 7600 lb tow rating.

I see the 5.3 and 6.0 engine has a 9200 lb tow ratings in certain truck configurations.

Unfortunately the last person I would believe is the dealer. I've worked with several different dealers over the years ordering new trucks for my business. I generally find that I know more about the available options and capabilities then they do. It's really frustrating.
