That's funny, everyone I've talked to who owns one says it feels like a rocket ship. Peak torque comes on at 2400 rpm, which would be great for towing.

I live in my 5th wheel full time. I have the Tundra with the factory tow package. I absolutely LOVE IT! I researched it on the Consumer Reports website, and it had the top customer satisfaction scores in EVERY area. It can pull 10,500 pounds. TBH, I overload it by about 500 pounds, most of the time. I did invest in some air shocks in front and adjustable pneumatic shocks in back. It sails over the mountains without hesitation. The ride is a little rough without a load attached, but that's life in a truck!

If I understand you correctly you don't have a local dealer for GM and only have local support for Ram. I am a loyal GM fan, but I would not buy any American truck that does not have local support, these trucks have gotten so dependent on their electronics that you really need local support.
Let me go a different route, I know a guy who is a fishing guide who uses a BMW suv diesel to pull his boat and his wife has the same vehicle that she pulls her show horses with. The boat is about 7,000lbs. and the horse trailer is more, he gets excellent mileage and put about 180,000mi. on the one that he pulls his boat with and recently traded it off on another BMW exactly like it. I would think that you would have better support with a BMW than any US made truck, just my two cents.

I would 100% agree - local support is worth a lot. I would think local support for any US made truck in Europe would be poor, considering how poor local support in the US can be sometimes.

We have since 1992 third car from Mitsubishi L200. Only on one we had to replaced turbo, card has over 400.000 and it is from 1999. In fact on my touareg from 2016 i had issue with chain tensioner. This part is from driver side, so engine must go from car. I understand if I will meat a similar problem on RAM as on my Touareg it is not good.
New cars have a lot an electronic system and the depending on that is terrible.
Toyota start sell in EU Hilux model with V6 4.0 gasoline. But it is very funny, car has 173KW an 383NM (torque is 282,48 ft/lbs).
Maybe best solution in EU with 100% servis support is new VW Amarok, the power is the same as my Touareg, but mayme a more suitable for tow.

It is all about (1) tongue weight, (2) tow capacity of the towing vehicle and(3) speeds you intend to travel. Even with a heavy capacity towing vehicle, little to no tongue weight will result in the trailer swaying.
I am a former commercial fisherman and have a class A CDL license, have been towing all sorts of vehicles most of my life.

I’m curious. Is this for 2022 model? I was looking to buy one but was concerned about towing with a first year motor.

Correct, the 2022. A friend of mine drives an F150 EcoBoost for work and bought himself a 2022 Tundra for personal use. I think he's only going to tow a boat with his but plenty of other guys are towing TTs with theirs.
Also, a variation of that engine has been in use in Lexus vehicles since about 2016 so it's not exactly all new.

Tundra or GMC
It depends on how long you want to keep it and what you expect for resale value.
I you want dependability and good resale value. The Tundra is the way to go.

Nothing funny about it. Just got rid of mine. Underpowered and Thirsty. Traded for a 3.0 Ram diesel and it pulls like a Fright Train and gets 30 MPG on the highway empty. What the heck was i thinking when i bought the tundra And yes 2400 rpm sounds like its screaming compared to the 1700rpm of the Diesel

Hehe, you would not like the sound of my GMC screaming uphill at 5500RPM for minutes on end then. Hasn't broken yet.
Yep, different strokes (literally) for different folks.
