Ford isn't my preferred brand, but I see a lot of people who think the eco boost doesn't have enough power to pull anything.
I had to go verify the numbers, but it produces more horsepower and torque then most pickup gas v8's and diesel v6's until you get into the very latge displacement engines.
465 plus torque at 2250 rpms isn't anything to sneeze at, as the expression goes.
I pull a 5000 lbs trailer with a non eco boost and I've only met one pass that dropped me below 60-65 mph and we've been through a number of them.

If not the length or weight could it be the brand load level/sway hitch and if so what is the best one to buy.

If you want to RV get rid of the cute little f150 and get a tv that will control the trailer.

I wonder if the OP took offense to the suggestion that the F150 was not enough truck! He hasn't replied to any suggestions.
I agree what what has been said here. One of the considerations that the OP didn't mention was the wheel base of the truck. Too short of a wheelbase and issues will arise with that length and weight of TT. I sold a 1500 series V8 Suburban after towing a 5500# Skyline Nomad. It just kept shifting up and down the gear box at the slightest hill.

Just a thought----a 1/2 ton usually doesn't have heavy weight tires for a close to max long load.
The tires on the trailer are going to be close to max and will squish side to side.
The truck suspension is light for a long trailer.
The truck brakes aren't robust for a weight combination you have.
ADD all these items up, and yes, the engine will move the truck/ trailer combination, but the under sides of the rig is light.
If you're planning on long range towing with a smile on your face, up grade the tow vehicle. Sorry for the bummer news. Shucks, what's money???

The wheelbase is probably too short to control the trailer. Plus 9,000lbs at 30' is a heavy trailer.
I do know a 26.5' and 5,500lbs travel trailer can comfortably be towed with a crew cab F-150.
There are only 2 trucks that are not 250/2500 series trucks that can tow this trailer more comfortably.
They are the Nissan Titan XD and the F-150 with the tow package and HDPP option. HDPP is the Ford's heavy duty payload package. Both trucks come with their own frame, a longer wheelbase, heavier rear axle and several other things good for towing. (The F-150 with the HDPP option comes with a whopping 163" wheelbase).
Oh the Nissan Titan XD I believe weighs over 6,000 lbs. That is a lot more truck than the smaller Nissan Titan.

I am seeing several wheelbases for the F150. This depends on regular cab, super cab, or crew cab. Also add to the cabs is bed length. There are 3 bed lengths from 5.5' to 6' to 8'. If the wheelbase is 141" that will not control a 30' travel trailer.

Need more tongue weight and heavier duty truck tires.

The Supercrew HDPP F150 is only 157" WB. The Supercab HDPP F150 has an 8' bed and 163" WB.
