Travel trailer storage door remodel

I have a 17' travel lite trailer.
The storage door at the entry opens Towards the inside and I would like to be able to open the door facing the upside
To be able to put items in without going into the trailer
I want to cut the door 3/4 way down and make the
bottom half open towards the outside.
Is this a big project?
What type of saw would make a decent cut across

Table saw.......but then you'll need to block that cut line to keep water out.....and a way of keeping the door from folding in on it's own while traveling...
