Used hitches?
Any place I should look before pulling the trigger on a new Andersen hitch? I’m cheap and always look around but lately Craig’s list has been baron, anywhere else to look other than eBay?

I found a used Blue Ox Swaypro (travel trailer) on Craigslist for $250. He was 100 miles away so I met him halfway and picked it up. Found videos online for how to adjust it to my truck and trailer. Wow - what a good hitch! I pulled a 26’ Jayco and then a 37’ Laredo trailer with it. When we bought the Montana I put the hitch on Craigslist for $250. Sold it in less than a week.
By the way - We had a truck camper for a short while and I did the same thing for the tie-downs…found them used and cheap on Craigslist.

Craigslist is all but dead.
Facebook Marketplace is where most people sell now.
For less money you can get a Blue Ox SwayPro, and I can't
say this with authority, but I suspect it's a superior hitch.

As Zulu mentioned Facebook Market Place is the better sight now. Since Covid camping has become much more popular so finding a used hitch now might be difficult.

Buying a used hitch would not bother me. I see them occasionaly on both Craig's list and Facebook.

5th Wheel or bumper? I have a like new Andersen 5th wheel that mounts to standard rails rather than the goose neck ball that I am selling for about 1/2 the price of a new one. $450. I bought it for my old truck, then sold the truck and got a truck that has the gooseneck ball so I bought a new Andersen Ultimate. This hitch has been used for about 5,000 miles, and the adaptor has never been used as I just kept the old adaptor on the trailer.
Seeing as how you are in Nevada and I'm in NM we might do a road trip and meet half way to save on shipping costs.

Used hitches?
As much as we wanted a 5er we ended up with another bumper pull. With the way the economy is headed I didn’t want to pay for storage
Dumped the social media a few years ago so I suspect that would explain the lack of options out there. Craigslist is still solid for vehicles but that seems to be it.
How is it this site is lacking a classified section now that I think of it?

Used hitches are fine as long as you can find correct instructions online and get it set up correctly for your TV and rig.

Look at the top of the page and it's right there in the middle of the header bar. Probably not a ton of small ticket items because I think the advertising fees are a bit stiff.

I would skip the anderson and look at the Reese Dual Cam (Straight Line). Much better design for sway control.

I just searched "motorhomes" on craig's list. I got everything but for the most part. I hadn't looked at it for a year or more and it is really a mess.

I purchased my Blue Ox Sway Pro used of of Craig's List for $275.00. It was just like new. They do show up occasionally.
