Hey, jconverse.
and to our campfire.
What lynnmor said, with a slight change.
It's the front fender well you are concerned about. New agreement by the RV industry, including Ford, states that when hooked up with the spring bars tight, the front fender well should be between zero and one-half inch higher off the ground than it was without a trailer.
Old rule that hasn't changed is that the loaded trailer should be level, front to rear, when hooked up with a WD hitch and the spring bars tight. If not level, the fix is to adjust the adjustable shank of the WD hitch so the ball mount is at the correct height to result in a level trailer.
With a level trailer and the front fender well the correct height off the ground, if the rear end of the truck is not where you want it, then you need to work on the suspension of the truck to get it where you want it. Air bags, SuperSprings, add-a-leaf, or something to change the height of the truck. Don't attempt to use the WD hitch to correct your suspension design.
Set-up instructions for a WD hitch are on page 34 of the 2017 Ford RV & Trailer Towing Guide. If you don't have a copy, it's a free download from:

The WD hitch setup instructions apply to all brands of tow vehicles, not just Fords.
