Went to the scales??
I bought a new camper 2018 crossroads sunset trail 262bh. Headed to the scales and this is what I came up with. The top page is with WD hitch and the bottom is just my truck including family on both weights. I know I'm under what my truck can tow but I'm trying to figure out how much stuff I can put in it. I drive a 2014 Silverado 1500 z-71 4x4

I haven't owned a TT since 1988 so I can't be of any help.

Welcome to iRV2.
The rest of the story would be a picture of the weight rating sticker on your trucks door jam , giving the max weights each axle of your truck is rated for.
Knowing the trailers rated GVWR would be a big help too.

Glad you took the time and interest in weighing for real world actual numbers.
Now could you post what the weights were......can't read them from the pictures of weigh tickets

Truck:
Gvwr 7200
Gawr frt: 3950
Gawr rr: 3950
Payload: 1648
Truck Only:
F/Axle 3700
R/Axle 2560
GVW 6260
Truck/Trailer with WD
F/Axle 3560
R/Axle 3440
Trailer axles 4880
GCVW 11,880
Trailer:
GVWR 7560[/QUOTE]
You removed 140# off truck F/axle (3700 minus 3560)
You added 880# to truck R/axle (3440 minus 2560)
You are under trucks GVWR by 940# (7200 minus 6260)
Trailer tongue weight 'roughly' 880 (weight added to truck rear axle)
Trailer total weight 'roughly' 5760 (4880 plus 880)
Trailer tongue roughly 15.3% (heavy tongue weight)
BUT you have that 140# removed from truck F/axle.....(did it transfer to truck rear, become part of trailer tongue or get transferred to trailer axles)
Need truck/trailer weighed W/O WD hookup to figure true tongue weight
Basically you have:
940# under trucks GVWR
510# under trucks RAWR
Roughly 1800# under trailers GVWR (depends on tongue weight w/o wd)
Looks like you can take some food, clothes and adult beverages OK

I don’t have the camper with me but I’ll take it to the scales again here in a few weeks for weight without W/D hitch. All I have to do is disengage it and pull the jack back up correct?

I have the 16 but same truck and payload ratings. I did everything exactlyas you have done and only noticed one minor difference. Your front end apparently lifted a little indicated by the lighter weight with trailer. I was able to adjust my WD hitch and actually kept the weight close to where it was before trailer, think I actually increased approx 100lbs if memory serves me. Did you measure front end height before and after? This was a big deal for me on last camping trip, one more notch in chain made it go from feeling OK to wow this feels so much better.
Please post feedback on that trailer. I'm looking to upgrade this next season. I've researched the heck out of these thing's. I love Lance for quality it need bunkhouse and theirs is so small a d bathroom is awful. I love the quality of Minnies also but with the same truck as you the 27bh is right up at the edge of max weights. I've looked at everything in between so much junk out there. I just ran across Sunset Trails the other day and was floored by the weights. At first I thought this must be one of the worst of the Indiana junk out there. After getting my hand on everything I could find about them it seems they use some decent quality components with some unique floor plans. So now my interest in ST has peaked, it would give me the space I need and fit right in the weight range I need. So you are the first owner I've contacted and I look forward to hearing what your experience with this brand is.
I'll end this by saying your weights look good, personally Id try another link on the WD if you have that type, but your almost right on maybe a tad lift in front.

I will tell you that it pulls REALLY well going 65 on the highway and I’m getting 10-11 mpg. I also have a k&n air intake and fixing to get an exhaust put in. We will see how much of a difference that makes if any at all

Yep exactly what I'm looking to add. Check out the edelbrock superchargers, they'll blow your mind. Super well engineered and can even be purchased with a 100k warranty on motor. These things are expensive nearing 6k but man over 500 fy lbs of torque and horse power is right up there too. They get great reviews and come with a tuner. You would be cruising up those 6% grades at 65mph LOL . They are to rich for my blood but worth having a look , super well engineered, they look factory really sharp.

As was mentioned before, the front should not be lighter. Adjust and get those numbers up and it will lighten the rear load. Will tow even better then.
I have a Reese sway control series and one set of teeth made the 30 footer pull like a dream. 80 across South Dakota.
