It doesn't matter if a 3/4 ton truck is a new model. It's still a bastard with enough engine to tow more, but not the weight carrying capability to handle more than a mid size fifth wheel RV.

Ford's been very careful to hold onto the SuperDuty trucks until a bunch have been built. And I see where they're just starting to be delivered.

I already have a Ford 7.3 3/4 ton truck, and it's now 17 years old. But the new 7.3 gas looks very attractive to someone that tows heavy and doesn't put mega miles on their truck. I only average 9K miles per year. Most people still would do better to go the 6.2 V-8, even if it's a little high reving in hills or when really loaded up.

Just noticed the tire sizes, that has to be a F-450. correct?

It is a nice looking truck. I'm just surprised the payload is a lot lower than my older GM3500HD. Mine is 5555 lbs. Is it just the gas vs diesel thing or something special on your truck?

It's a Limited so it does have a few extras that add weight. Ex. full moon roof. Lotsa glass up there

Dealer called Friday am. Truck is in transit, should be there in 1 to 2 weeks. 15 minutes later called back and said truck just arrived. Will pick up Friday Dec. 27. Waiting to see what gas mileage is. Get to drive it home, about 40 miles, and park it until spring. Hate to drive it in the snow and salt. 2011 never saw salt either. Thought it would last a lot longer but became too troublesome and unreliable because of the diesel emission systems.

7.3 gas engine (no more diesel problems)

Man, that is the truck I am waiting to test drive. F-350 with the 7.3 Godzilla engine. You got to post what you think when you get it. 10 speed and 7.3 gas should give a good highway mpg number....hoping.

Both nice looking trucks. Also interested in how the 7.3 is. Heard so much about the new GM and Ford engines.

I saw TFL posted a video early today that they found a 2020 XLT FX4 F-250 7.3 Godzilla 100 miles from where they are headquartered. They drove a project Ram to trade on the Ford. The payload was 3,048lbs. They bought the truck so I would expect another posting soon with them driving it.

Picked up the truck friday. About 40 miles to home. Some highway mostly back roads. 14.7 mpg. I am happy with that. 430 gears at 53mph 1500 rpm.

Wow, 53 mph at 1,500rpm is great. That 10 speed I think is going to be a game changer.

Good to see Ford building the 7.3 and getting the trucks out.

WorkPlayTV on YouTube just picked up a 2020 Platium F-350 SRW and gives the 1st driving impression of the powerstroke and 10 speed.

Bottom line says it is smoother, rides better and is more powerful than his other trucks. Kinda says it rides like his Dad's F-150. Oh, his other trucks are all Ford 2017 F-550, 2019 F-350 trading in a 2017 F-250. I believe all his trucks are diesel.

So it looks like Ford baked in more refinement into the 2020.
