Bottom line says it is smoother, rides better and is more powerful than his other trucks. Kinda says it rides like his Dad's F-150. Oh, his other trucks are all Ford 2017 F-550, 2019 F-350 trading in a 2017 F-250. I believe all his trucks are diesel.

So it looks like Ford baked in more refinement into the 2020.
I know they added hp to the 6.7, maybe they changed the shocks but i doubt it. Id say its probably smoother and "rides better" because hes comparing a brand new truck to trucks with some miles on them.

No, there is more refinement baked into all cars and trucks. I bet the changes Ford made to the diesel engine makes it a bit smoother running. Also Ford probably added sound deadening to the 2020.

My wife and I have a 2019 car. When we stop at a light it idles so smooth you think it shut off.

I am a big fan of refinement. Today I am going to my Ford dealer to look at a 2020 Ford F-250. I will let you know what I think.

Theres a good chance it does shut off, that is a thing. These companies change as little as possible throughout a production run. Even the tiniest little change can cost millions to execute. When ford added the expanding foam to the body it was a big deal, they advertised the heck out of it.

No, the tach shows 600rpm when stopped at a light. There is no vibration at all in the car at idle.

I am at a Ford dealer now waiting for my salesman.

Test drove the 2020 F-250 6.7 Powerstroke 10 speed.

Ford did refine the truck in many respects. The diesel engine idled at 600 rpm and is quiet. There is just a hint of vibration at idle coming thru the steering wheel. Again, just a hint. My 6.2 gas truck does not even have a hint of vibration in the steering wheel.

At 80 mph in 10th gear the tach was at 2,000 rpm. Solo the truck holds gears easily.

Twice I kinda broke the back tires loose so more attention is needed modulating the gas pedal from a stand still. Ford really lightened up the steering which makes the truck easier to drive. The truck drives like a bigger F-150.

Ford did something to the suspension as the truck rode much better than my very good riding 2017 gas F-250 truck.

This diesel truck would be very easy easy to live with. Again it drove much much better than expected.

What gear ratio did it have?

It had 3.55 gear ratio. I think this is the new common Ford diesel gearing.

The shifts from the new 10 speed were scary smooth as was the rest of the truck.
