Honda is one brand that I support owning products like weed whacker, generator, boat motor, pressure washer, motorcycle and car. I have been pleased with every purchase as I find their products to be well engineered. I know nothing about their racing cars or private jets but assume they are the same. Honda caters to international markets; have a feeling 1 ton duallies might only be prevalent in certain countries. If they did decide to engineer and sell one I'm sure it would be competent and expensive.

Not I! I want a real truck that does not use spark plugs and rattles when running. IE a Diesel engine as in my Dodge Mega Cab!

The manufacturers are work hard on reducing NHV (Noise, Hardness, Vibration).
If anyone has a diesel that rattles you better keep it running because when it comes to the end of it's life the new trucks are quiet, don't vibrate and no longer has much harshness.

The International 7.3 diesel that was used in the old Ford trucks was the most obnoxious engine ever built. Followed by the older Cummins. Those days are over - thank goodness.

I like my quiet, smooth running 6.7 F250 Lariat, and it is clearly a better motor, but I do kind of miss the old 7.3. I sold my 2003 F350 Lariat to a friend and every time he drives up I get all nostalgic about that “obnoxious” old truck!

As for a honda “truck”, I can’t imagine it being satisfactory. Maybe when I turn 80 and start taking it easy.....

My Honda Accord must have been built on a Friday as a lot of things broke on it. Radio, power window, door handle, A/C, Brakes were always an issue, sunroof seal was messed up.

So I am not a fan of Honda.
Are you a fan of any of these?

???
I've owned both. The 2000 Powerstroke was quiet and smooth compared to the early Cummins. And reliable. Still own a 2004 Dodge/Cummins dually with the NV5600 manual tranny...hope to drive that truck for the rest of my life. Trouble free, powerful, and great fuel mileage even towing.

I loved the sound of my 5.9 Cummins (and no, I'm not "that guy" with a lift kit, no muffler, "rolling coal") ..... my newer ones are much quieter but that '01 sounded like a proper diesel to me. Our 7.3 PSD sounded like a can full of marbles....

Nice truck; I have an '03 and '04; is yours a 2004.5 "600" or the earlier (pre-Jan 1, 2004 built) 2003 - 2004?

I had a '96 and two 2001 7.3 PSD's and much prefer my Cummins'

Did not toyota get into the full size truck market through a joint agreement with GM in the late 80's
