2000 Aero Cub Electrical Problem??

Hey all,

I just purchased a 2000 Cub Thor Hybrid and am having some strange electrical issues. I was hoping someone on here would be able to help! Here's the problem:

I have the camper parked outside of my house on a regular plugin with a converter attached. Up until yesterday, everything worked when plugged in except for the A/C, which is what I think is supposed to work without full plugin. There was a new battery put on a week ago before I bought it and the charge indicator said there was 2/3 full. I checked the indicator (2/3 still) and then about 20 minutes later,when I was lighting the pilot light for the water heater, nothing worked anymore except for the a/c fan and the microwave(not even the radio system or lights) and the indicator lights show nothing. (water/grey/black/battery)

I have pulled out the battery now to charge it in case thats the issue and those two things still work when plugged into a converted power supply.

I am worried that the battery may not be the only issue because the indicator said it was 2/3 full just 20 minutes prior...thoughts?

What do you mean when you say "regular" plugin? That means nothing. 15A, 20A? You need a 30A, but I think you know that.
Also, what do you mean "converter attached."
That being said, MANY things use 12V as part of the appliances system. Furnace, WH, refr, AC t-stat, radio, lights, slide motors, jacks.
Your AC would run, but probably trip your shore power's breaker really quick.
Do not trust the monitor panel saying the battery is "2/3" full. That could mean 10-12VDC. If that's the case, your converter that makes 120V into 12V, might not be working.
Also, were you physically lighting the pilot of the WH, or do you just mean you turned on the WH LP switch? That shouldn't have done anything anyway.
The AC blower and microwave are 120V only, so if you have no 12V, that means nothing.

IF you have your battery out, but are hooked up to 120V, your converter should still create 12V. If it's not, you have a loss of power somewhere. Either 120V breakers, 12V circuit breakers, or 12V fuses.
