2015 Starcraft hybrid 229 roof damage

Hi all. New to the forum. Picked up a new-to-me hybrid last night. The previous owner had it for sale on a dealer lot and somehow the rear edge of the roof got damaged about a foot off the corner and right on the wdge of the roof and rear wall. I got a good deal on it so I didn’t back out of the deal. I will post a picture when I get home today. Nothing is soft under the edge where it is damaged and the sidewalks are fiberglass but it obviously needs fixed.

I thought about finding a piece of the roofing material, cutting the loose stuff off and tucking it under the roof material then overlapping it down the back wall. What should I use as sealant? Should I try my shingle method or just go over top of it? I’m sure when I post a picture it will make more sense.

Thanks for reading.

I believe I would cover it with a length of 4” wide Eternabond and then caulk wie edges on top with Dicor Self Leveling Sealant. Camping World.

I ordered a tube of dicor and a roll of eternabond. Will get to fixing this weekend, hopefully.

Just before applying the eternabond wipe the area with isopropyl alcohol. It will remove any greasy residue and give a real clean surface to stick to.
