Dump station procedure

Hello all,
So we have moved up to a travel trailer Roo 19 from a popup. The pup had a porta potty which i had to always take to the dump station to dump out. Now the roo has a black tank flush on it. Most of the dump stations i have been to just have a piece of cutoff hose to wash with when you are done. There isnt a hose connection to connect my own hose the the flush port on the trailer. How do you guys that have the flush use it. They also say not dump if your tank isnt 2 /3 full. I am assuming if you have a low tank you could use the flush to add water at your campsite prior to heading to the dump. Thx

Cut off hose for washing down....that is what it is for


Pull Up...connect sewer hose to dump line and sewer hole
Dump Black. Then Dump Grey
Wash down...stow and move on


Yes it is best to dump waste tanks (black & grey) when they are almost full
High liquid level/weight of water....WHOOSH affect when you open dump valves
That helps to carry the STUFF down and out


Black Tank Flush System is good way to add additional water before dumping.
Running kitchen faucet is good way to add additional water to grey before dumping



Waste Tank Flush System is best done at FHU site vs dump station especially if others are waiting to dump (don't want to be THAT guy)

I have my own gray hose about 10' long, already donnected to my flusher. I put a big squirt of liquid dish soap in the hose, the grease cutting antibacterial kind, the cheap walmart brand. Then I screw my hose onto their bib; if I have to remove their hose, I put it back when done. When I turn on the flusher water, it blasts that dish soap into the black tank, maybe it helps, maybe it doesn't. You can buy hose segments at hardware stores, or make one yourself. I have a cap for mine so it doesn't dribble in the wet bay.

It's common courtesy to not hold up the line at the dumpstation flush/rinsing your black tank.

• Top off both your black & grey tanks before you leave your site.
• Connect your sewer hose to your outlet, put the other end in the dumpstation hole.
• Pull the black tank valve & let run until empty. Close valve.
• Pull the grey tank valve & let run until empty. Close valve.
• Disconnect sewer hose & rinse off with dumpstation hose.
• Stow hose & move out.

Some wear disposable gloves while doing all this. Up to you to decide that.
