Our first trip - Small problems

Well the wife and I took our hybrid out for the first time boon docking for a few days. We have never owned a trailer before so this was a great time. Overall we didn't have any major issues. We did learn quite bit about our trailer and am hoping we can get the few parts we need.

1) One the fold out doors on the front and back there are broken clips were the canvas bungee cords to for security.

2) The pole connector for the queen bed side broke while we were tearing it down.

3) The screw down fasteners for the pop out doors had two handles come off so I need to figure out how to get those back on and fasten then down better.

And last but not least the outlet to drain the tanks is leaking. When I went to dump the tanks with I took the cover off, quite a bit of water came out. Was not pleasant..

I hope you get the issues addressed. If it’s only a little bit of water when you uncap the connection, it’s fine. Mine does that as well, never more than a 1/4 cup or so.

Its been more than that. I'm not sure yet how to troubleshoot it. I stopped by a RV parts store today to look for the parts I need. Not real helpful but she was wanting to close and leave so I need to find a new place tomorrow

I’m a newbie to the site. We are considering a keystone 1650EX hybrid. We know the pros and cons of a hybrid having previously owned a pop up and a 22 foot TT when the kids were young. Just wondering does anyone have experience with a Keystone Bullet Crossfire trailer. Thanks

Smile Hybrid

We have a 2017 Keystone Passport that we have not had any major issues with. Just remember that Travel Trailers do travel and over time you will develop leaks. Usually they are easily resolved.

The first time that happened to me on my old truck camper, I went to a janitor's supply house and bought extremely long rubber gloves that went above my elbows. From that point onward I wore those, and also goggles (not the kind with holes all around either but the kind with circular valves designed for splash protection), AND kept my mouth shut whenever I was about to open the magic valve or valve cover.

We have the 2190EX Crossfire. Took it on a 4 week tour this summer. Had to have brakes fixed but on other systems worries.

I just got one last season. Only got to use it one weekend, seems pretty good, but everything is great compared to my old ratty pop up.

Stuff happens. If its new take it to the dealer and have them fix it. If its used, fix it and move on. RVs are not like cars or houses. They are slapped together using the absolute cheapeat parts available in the fastest possible time. You either learn to fix stuff yourself or have deep pockets so you can pay someone else to fix it.

Had several of mine broke, I put teardrop mirror holders in place of the metal clips. Enough room for bungee to fit under and look good too. Attached with stainless screws too for longevity. I have to replace the bungee cords now because they're all stretched and dried out!
