Starcraft 23ft TravelStar RVS - Soft floor

Hello All,

I'm looking for some information on a Starcraft TravelStar 23ft. Model RVS. I just purchasedt this used camper. It feels like the front of the camper has a soft floor. Can anyone tell me the best way to fix the problem. Also, does anyone have an idea how I can tell were the water is coming from.

First, make sure that the softness is indeed from water damage, or simply poor floor support. Is the flooring discolored? this is one of the signs that water has gotten in. In the front of the camper, there is a seam all along the front edge, the front window,or foldout bunk (if so equiped).

Hello All,

I took the front benches out of the camper, and the floor up, I have found that the water looks to me that is coming in from the lower part of the front of the camper (front edge of the floor). It looks tkie they tried to fix it once before. Also, there is no support, at all under the floor. I spoke with Starcraft, and they told me to brace the floor up with metal studs. I have currently put in 3 of them, 20" OC. That has help out a lot. I replaced the bad part of the floor with new wood, But It's not in place yet. I still have a water leak across the front seam.

What is the best way to fix the water leak on an seam. This seam runs all the way across the top of the trailer. It's got has tin, or metal on one side of the seam and a rubber roof on the other.
