Towing a Coachman Clipper 16B

Hello not sure if anyone is active on this thread anymore. I have a 2103 coachman clipper 16b which I plan to pull with my honda pilot. I am having a hard time finding/ deciding what to do about a weight distirbution/sway control hitch. The trailer sits so low that I would require a very long shank on the hitch to achieve the required mounting height for a weight distribution system I then worry about clearance of the hitch/shank it self. Alternatively I have looked at the option of converting to an underspring set up to raise the clearance but worry about creating more issues than I am preventing with the increased ride height.

Has anyone dealt with similar issues?

I assume you meant 2013 Coachman?

Regardless, you would be better served in trying this post under the Trailer Towing and Tow Vehicle section. Many knowledgeable people there. Also, add pics if possible.

Good luck!
