My wife is tired of the popup. She wants something bigger. She wants a travel trailer with a queen bed and a bathroom. I don't want to tow it.

So I'm thinking of something along the lines of a trailmanor or a HiLo. Just seeking opinions of these expandables. If you have one, or have had one, do you like it.

Are there options I'm not considering?

I have a light duty 1/2 ton GMC pick up that I'll be using as a tow vehicle.

I looked at both TrailManor and Hi-Lo before we bought our current trailer. From what I read, the Hi-Lo is very heavy for the size of trailer you get. I really liked the idea of the TrailManor, but I read a number of posts by owners who had roof leak problems, and that turned me off. We ended up buying a 2010 Jayco Jay Feather 226. It has both a nice bathroom and a queen size bed. It is light (4950 # loaded) and tows really easy.

And, I think Hi-Lo is now out of business.

We had a HI Lo. it is heavy and while it worked I really don't believe it saved anything towing. We went to Alaska in the Hi_Lo. We traded it on the way back for a Motorhome. Dirt and dust comes up thru the sides. every day we had to wipe the unit down INSIDE! trail manor is lighter and if it is set up level it doesn't leak. and Ho-Lo went out of business. Safe travels....ed
