Weight distribution hitch

Does or has anyone used a Haul-Master weight distribution hitch?
Are they any good? Or should I stay away from it. The price is a lot lower than the other brands, so I am curious about how good they are.

It doesn't come with a ball , If saving a little over $100 is your goal go for it. Most are using a marginal truck/SUV to tow at or over there ratings so I don't want to say yes or NO. A marginal truck / SUV and a hitch that is less then good can put you in a ditch at highway speeds quick so keep this in mind. I think you would be better finding a used good hitch for $200 on Craigs list but that's my .02c . Harbor Freight isnt know for having good products and good welds on parts, I have a few HF large sockets and broken tools from them so I would avoid a the hitch so it doesn't cause a life changing event.

Make sure it includes a sway control device. The weight distributing bars are not sway bars. As a minimum, you will also need a friction type sway control.

When we towed a travel trailer, I used a Reese Dual Cam which incorporates a sway control in the design.

It is simple and it works very well. As a side note, I would no buy something like a hitch from Horrible Freight

Second thumbs up for the Reese with dual cam. A little harder to get tuned perfectly but then it is a dream. Many different weight bars available for it. Been using the same one on three trailers since it was purchased new in 2004 and it has more than 40k miles on it. Lifetime guarantee on it too!
