What are you towing with a Subaru Outback?

My wife and I are looking to get a lightweight camper to pull behind our 2012 Subaru Outback 2.5. I am well aware of the towing limitations of this vehicle and have read countless threads on safe towing, improvements, etc. so not looking for advice there.
I am curious what other Outback owners are camping in. One non-negotiable is a porta-potty or toilet in the camper. Other nice things to have would be an outdoor kitchen and sleeping space for 3-4. The Rove Lites look nice but are quite expensive. Also interested in teardrop style that are more than just a bed in a box. I know pop-ups fit the bill but looking at other options.

Thanks

In the past I have seen some Subaru owners on the fiberglassrv forum who tow Scamps, Casitas, and similar molded fiberglass trailers. They tend to have a relatively small frontal area; the smooth sides & rounded corners help keep wind resistance down. Many of them get 16-19 mpg while towing. I hope that helps.

If anyone reads this in the future, we went with a 2017 T@B 320 CS-S and love it.

Re: What are you towing with a Suburu Outback?

Don't have a Suburu, but we're about to trade in our Rockwood Roo 18 for a LiV TT 23RB. It's a new company and the dealers say they seldom have more than 3 in the showroom because they sell very fast. Even their largest trailers are very lightweight!
