Howie:

Just a thought...do you suppose they meant to have the tanks bulge like that to get to 150 gallons? Have you actually measured the water going into it?

The reason I say that, is I haven't seen a RV yet where they don't bulge (except those that have heated tanks), and I'm wondering if that undesired feature actually is engineered?

(I know fat chance, but I thought it was worth entertaining).

If we were able to fill a tank and there was
no bulge it would hold (16008 cubic inches or 69.30 gallons)

With a moderate bulge of 1.5 inches Mark Dixon
calulates the tank would hold (17786 cubic inches or 77.01 gallons)x 2

So bottom line is that I don't think the tanks
were engineered to hold 75 gallons with the
big bulge (90 gallons) x 2

The unistrut is really cheap at any electrical
supplier store. I have not seen it at Home Depot yet.

AAAhhhh...OK...you do have it all figured out...

Boottom line...is it that maybe if they just made 'em a little thicker that they retain the original "girlish figure"?
